Lois Jean Taylor, 71 of Anadarko passed away peacefully at her home on July 30, 2019, following a lengthy illness. Lois was diagnosed with lupus, a disease that saps your strength and then your will. The disease met its match in Lois. She was a 30 year lupus survivor. Regardless of how she felt she kept a smile on her face, and presented herself as if there was nothing wrong at all.

Lois was born on September 22, 1947 to Willie James (Dub) and Rozenea Johnson in Ft. Cobb, Oklahoma. She graduated from Fort Cobb High School. After graduation she worked as a Teachers
Aide in the Fort Cobb School system. Lois and Andrew James (A.J.) Taylor were married on August 18, 1978. Lois later moved to Anadarko and also worked as a Teachers Aide. She was also employed by Hollytex Carpet Mills, First State Bank and was a Deputy Court Clerk in the Caddo County Clerks Office. Her illness recently forced her into retirement.

Lois was a member of Greater First Baptist Church in Anadarko. Before her health declined she was a very active member, where she served as Usher, Womens Mission and Deaconess.

Lois loved spending time with her children and grandchildren and loved them dearly. They were such a bright spot in her life and she received so much joy from their presence. She was an avid OU Sooners and Oklahoma City Thunder fan. She spent numerous evenings cheering on the Thunder and calling her sister Brinda to complain or talk about the exciting plays.

She is survived by her husband, Andrew James Taylor of the home, daughter Andrea Taylor and companion Edwin Satoe of Anadarko, four sisters, Wanda Evans, Chicago, Illinois; Margaret Richardson and husband Rodney, Peoria, Arizona; Florence Kay Sanders, Midwest City; Brinda Lynch and husband Robert, Anadarko; one brother Cecil Johnson, Midwest City; five grandchildren, Jonathan Taylor, Anadarko; Olyvea Pendarvis and husband Steven, Anadarko; Chelsea Taylor, Edmond; Trevor Taylor, Oklahoma City and Gracie Taylor, Anadarko; six great grandchildren, Greyson Taylor, Ka’lieah Pendavis, Steven Pendarvis, Anadarko; Kamryn Taylor Buckner, Edmond; Kye Taylor, Kailyn Taylor, Anadarko; four nephews Jack Evans, Chicago, Rodney Richardson, Jr., Peoria, Arizona; Bo Johnson, Geary and Rodney Richardson, III, Peoria, Arizona; one niece Amaya Richardson, Peoria, Arizona. One stepson Terry Taylor of Anadarko, sister in-law Dora Newsome, four brother in-laws Chester Taylor and wife Ruby, Kenneth Taylor and wife Francis, Stanley Fuller and Regina; Tyrone Fuller and wife Kresharla.

Lois was preceded in death by both parents, two brothers Earnest James Johnson and Herbert Allen Johnson, one daughter Greta Dean Taylor, one stepson Andy Taylor, and mother in-law Evador Taylor.

My heart is breaking. Lois was always a spit fire. She always greeted everyone with a smile. When asked how she was doing she always replied "I'm ok." though her eyes would tell a different story. My thoughts and prayers go out to the family.

Love & prayers to all the family.  I loved Lois dearly.  So many sweet memories flood my mind and I think I can sum up my experiences by saying: Lois was love in motion.  So thankful to be a lifelong friend of this dear lady.  Heaven is sweeter & I know the mansion she's moving into is huge & beautiful, extra beautiful because Greta is already there hugging her.  Thinking of you all as you deal with the loss of her presence here.  Hugs & prayers. ????

My heart breaks hearing of the passing of Lois.  She always had a hug & I love you every time I saw her. ?? I know she will be greatly missed by all.  She fought hard against her disease, not complaint, just thinking of others.  The Johnson family has always been a part of my family & always will.  My thoughts & prayers are with the family.  Always hold those precious memories in your heart, there are enough for a life time. ????????
