Reba Schmidt

Reba Don Schmidt, 83, was born on December 28, 1942, to George Leonard & Helen Margaret (Corcorran) Gambrell, at the family home in Burns Flat, Oklahoma. She passed away on October 29, 2026, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.

Reba grew up in the Port/Sentinel area and attended school at Port. She had many fond memories of growing up on the family farm. On February 14, 1960, she married Charles Lavoid "Chuck" Rodgers, and together they welcomed two daughters, Sandra and Karla. In 1974, she married Danny Miller, and the two remained married until his passing in 1980. Reba later met the love of her life, Rex Gene Schmidt, in Cordell, Oklahoma and they were wed on April 29, 1982, in Sayre, Oklahoma.

Reba spent many years as a homemaker, raising her children and taking care of her family. While raising her children, she worked at Kellwoods in Clinton, Oklahoma, as an inspector. She also spent time cleaning homes in Cordell, Oklahoma.

Reba enjoyed the simple things in life, especially spending time with her family. She loved cooking, sewing, listening to country and Christian music and loved watching all Oklahoma State University Sports. Reba also loved First Baptist Church of Sentinel, Oklahoma, and her church family held a special place in her heart.

Above all, Reba loved her family, and nothing brought her more joy than being surrounded by her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren. She treasured the time spent with each of them and the memories they made together.

Reba will be remembered for her love of family, her faith, and the many special memories she leaves behind. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
