Gay Ann Jones was born on August 29, 1951 in Carnegie, Oklahoma to Oma Nola Holsted and Harley C. Jones. She was such a joyful baby the nurses said she should be named Gay. She was a devout Christian and loved sharing her faith in Jesus with others. She was also a proud grandmother and loved to play with her grandson Noah. She had a heart of gold and loved giving and encouraging other people. She worked for many years at the Liberty Theatre where she served as manager and perfected the famous chili recipe. Gay passed away on Friday, June 7, 2019 in Carnegie, Oklahoma.

Survivors: Son, Daniel Whitworth & grandson "GaGa Baby Doll" Noah Whitworth of Ochelata, OK.
Loyal Friend and long term companion, Jerry Applewhite, Carnegie, OK.
Sister, Juanee & husband Doc Pittman, Carnegie, OK.
Sister, Laquita & husband Tony Littlebird, Weatherford, OK.
Sister, Evaughn & husband Jerry Sanders, Burleson, TX.
Sister, Betty Butler, Carnegie, OK.
And dozens of cousins, nieces, nephews, and extended family.

She was preceded in death by her parents Oma & Harley Jones, Brother, Billy Jones, Brother Utah Jones, and sister Harlene Holman.

Gay you will be greatly missed.  I was thinking back over the years we have known each other starting with first grade.  The times we played, spent nights, laughing and giggling, thru our school years etc.  Most recently celebrating our 50 th reunion.  We all had so much fun remembering.
