Rest easy Mary Jane Horse.
We called each sister and I always said her whole name because my youngest sister always did. They were classmates.
But we were cousins.
I’ll miss your smile you always gave when we saw each other.

I am so thankful that the last words we said to each other was "I love you" and "talk to you later." You were so excited for the birth of your granddaughter and was hoping she'd be born on my birthday, August 21, but she came a day later on August 22 and you stepped into heaven a day after she was born on August 23.  Life is hard and unpredictable but God saw that you needed rest from all the cares of the world.  I'll see you again in heaven and we can laugh and talk.  Love you little sister.  Your big sis Alfie.

Our memories of Mary were those of her skilled and beautiful dancing at Cheyenne Frontier Days. In 1981 the Frontier Indian Committee asked her bead a headband for me. I still treasure it.  She leaves behind a wonderful legacy. Our thoughts and Prayers are with her family and loved ones
