Vera Catherine Hendon

Vera Catherine Hendon, 86, of Berryville, Arkansas, and former resident of Anadarko, Oklahoma, passed away on March 19, 2026. She was born on November 13, 1939, in Carnegie, Oklahoma, to Nirman and Brittie Goodwyn.

Vera attended Chickasha High School in Chickasha, Oklahoma. She was a homemaker for years but also worked as a registration clerk for Jefferson Comprehensive Care, in Pine Bluff, Arkansas where she lived for many years. Her passion was being a care giver to the many children throughout her life.

She is survived by

Grandchildren: Emily Hendon McKenzie and husband, Jonathon, Rachael Hendon Presson and husband Ryan Nikki DiGuilio and husband, Devin, Kyle Payton, Christian Carolus and husband, Daniel, Kortney Mims, and Halie Hendon

Great grandchildren: Kaydon McKenzie, Delaney McKenzie, Ellie McKenzie, Jude Presson, Riley DiGuilio, Jaxon DiGuilio, Remi DiGuilio, and Gabriel Carlous

Sister: Judie Nance

She is preceded in death by her parents, brothers: Denver Goodwyn, Dale Goodwyn, Leonard Goodwyn, Clifton (Turk) Goodwyn, Tommy Goodwyn, and Wesley Goodwyn and Sisters: Inez Johnson, Billye Powers, Irene Abshire, and Amanda Goodwyn

The family asks that in lieu of flowers that donations be made to St. Jude's in memory of Vera.
