Truman Calvin "T.C." Williams, 96, of Anadarko, Oklahoma, passed away peacefully on May 3, 2025. Born on December 13, 1928, in Lindsay, Oklahoma, T.C. was raised on a family farm where he learned the values of hard work, resilience, and humility. Well, except for that time he accidentally burned the barn down!
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 73 years, Wilma Oneta Williams, his favorite son-in-law, Tommy Sparkman as well as two brothers and two sisters.
T.C. began his career with Oklahoma Natural Gas in 1948 and proudly worked there until his retirement in 1986. Known for his strong work ethic and warm spirit, he formed lifelong friendships and left a lasting impression on all who knew him.
Always willing to help his family, Truman literally helped build Shelly and Tommy's home and also helped Shelly remodel her beauty shop.
He was a devoted father to Jerry Williams and his wife, Julie, of McKinney, Texas, and Shelly Sparkman of Anadarko. He was also a cherished father figure to Larry McKinney, who adopted T.C. as his dad many years ago.
T.C. was a proud grandfather to Kevin Sparkman, Angela Sparkman, Sheri Hall, Kristy Elkins, and Erin Kotzur. His legacy continues through his great-grandchildren: Shayna Gibson, Kale Koch, Kamden Sparkman, Maci Hall, Molly Hall, Marly Hall, Van Kotzur, Cade Elkins, Jake Elkins, Avery Elkins, Lily Elkins, Sydney Elkins, and Isaac Elkins. He was also blessed to know his great-great-grandchild, Sami Elkins.
One of the most cherished milestones in Truman and Oneta's life together was their 50th wedding anniversary celebration at the country club in Anadarko - a joyful, laughter-filled party that no one in attendance will ever forget.
An avid golfer, T.C. could often be found on the course with his "Chiseler's" group four to five times a week. His love for the game took him across the country with close friends and family. Among his fondest memories were the many Father-Son tournaments he played alongside Jerry, sharing both the competition and camaraderie that he treasured so deeply.
One of his most memorable experiences was attending the Masters golf tournament with Jerry and Larry, and watching his favorite golfer, Phil Mickelson, win the tournament.
If you're in heaven looking for a game, he's available. Just watch out for his wicked slice!
