Stanley Jospeh Mishler

Stanley J Mishler of Hobart, OK died suddenly and unexpectedly while visiting in the home of his estranged wife so that she could spend Christmas with their children, Stanley Jr, age 11, and MKanna, age 9.

Stanley was a funny and soft spoken guy with a contagious smile and laugh who earned the love of many friends and family.

He grew up with his siblings Erica, Lindsay, Vanessa, Mike, Paul, Michelle, Randall Mishler and Jerry Ward in Elkhart, IN, with his parents Mark & Karen Mishler. After his Grandma Burkey passed, his Grandpa, Harry Burkey joined them in Elkhart from Florida annually, during the months of May to October.

Stanley loved traveling to Florida to visit Granparents every Spring Break in a huge van or Motorhome. He enjoyed swimming, tubing, boating, bicycling, fishing, shooting hoops, and on Sundays, playing table games and watching family movies. He also looked forward to the weeks at family camp in Onekama, Michigan, every July where they celebrated Grandpa's birthday up until Harry's age of 95.

When Stanley grew up, he moved around the country and ended up in South Dakota where he married and had children. They struggled with co-parenting for several years until CPS gave Stanley full Custody of his children only if he filed for a divorce and kept her out of the home. He complied and was awarded sole custody. He soon moved to Hobart, Oklahoma to live with a cousin to raise them. Their mother later moved to Hobart and trouble followed with CPS.

Stanley went through extensive counseling and finished his education. He finished further schooling to be a dental technician. Then suddenly, on Christmas Day, with no warning, he was gone.

He is survived by his children: Stanley J Mishler Jr, and MKanna Mishler of Hobart, OK., parents: Mark & Karen Mishler, siblings: Erica, Chad, Lindsay, Vanessa, Michael, Paul, Michelle, and Randall Mishler and Jerry Ward, from Elkhart.

He is also survived by biological siblings Brad, Bruce and Monica Stevens plus many other Aunts, Uncles and Cousins of the Mishler's, Burkey's, McHan's and William's families.

His children will remain in Hobart, OK, with their Christian friend and now permanent legal guardian.
