Sonya Renee Gilliam

Sonya Renee Love - Gilliam, 65, of Cyril, Oklahoma, passed away on March 1, 2026, surrounded by her family. She was born on September 27, 1960, to Melvin "Junior" and Waldine (Clift) Love in Cyril, Oklahoma. Sonya grew up and attended school in Cyril, graduating in 1978. She married the love of her life, Gary Gilliam, on December 10, 1982, at the First Baptist Church in Cyril, Oklahoma. She became an ordained minister and faithfully served her Lord and community with a compassionate heart and unwavering dedication.

Sonya devoted her life to her faith, her family, and serving others. Whether through ministry, community involvement, or simple acts of kindness, she touched countless lives with her fierce spirit, bright smile, and encouraging words. She had a gift for making everyone feel welcome and loved.

She cherished her family above all else. Sonya was a devoted wife, loving mother, proud grandmother, and loyal friend. She found great joy in family gatherings, church fellowship, and celebrating life's everyday blessings. She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Melvin "Junior" and Waldine Love; and her brother, Steve Love and sister in law: Diane Love
