Shasta Spradlin

Shasta Joan Spradlin, 85, passed away on March 12, 2024 in Pearland, TX. She was born November 26, 1938 in Stratford, OK to Leslie E. and Lucy (Ernest) Ballard.

Shasta attended and graduated the Stratford Class of 1957. Shasta met the love of her life, Neil Spradlin and were married September 27, 1961. They were blessed with their children, Steven and Vickie. She was a dedicated wife and mother with close ties to all family, friends, and the community.

She worked as Caddo County Treasurer in Anadarko for more than 20 years. Shasta was active with visiting friends in the community and generous with those in need. She had many hobbies and interests in her life including gardening, crafts, and volunteering as a member of the Anadarko Physician's Hospital Auxiliary. Shasta was also an active member of Bethel Baptist Church in Anadarko for many years. Shasta was loved by many in the community and will be greatly missed by all the lives she touched.

She was preceded in death by her husband Neil Spradlin; parents, Leslie and Lucy Ballard; brothers, John Ballard and L.E. Ballard.

Son and daughter in-law: Steven and Lori Spradlin, Friendswood, TX.
Daughter and son in-law: Vickie and Kirk Wickersheim, San Leon, TX.
Grandchildren: Summer Nelson, Friendwood, TX; Anthony Spradlin, Portland, OR; Monica Wilder, Alvin, TX.
Five Great grandchildren.
Brother and wife: Ronnie and Judy Ballard, Ada, OK
Sister in-law: Janet Spradlin Wheeler, Oklahoma City, OK.

She was loved by a host of family and friends.
