Russell Bryan Satoe

June 23, 1974 — July 7, 2026

Russell Bryan Satoe of Anadarko, Oklahoma, passed away peacefully and entered his eternal home with the Lord.

Russell was born on June 23, 1974, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, to Theodore Jr. and Wynette Satoe. He was raised in Anadarko alongside his sister, Laurie Jean, and his brother, Edwin, where he built lifelong friendships and developed a love for family, sports, and community.

A passionate sports fan, Russell's heart belonged to the Oklahoma Sooners and the Pittsburgh Steelers. He was also a loyal New York Knicks fan and celebrated with excitement when they won the 2025-2026 NBA Championship.

In 1999 Russell moved to Bristow, Oklahoma where he devoted himself to raising his four sons. Fatherhood was his greatest accomplishment, and he treasured every opportunity to coach his boys in baseball and basketball.

Countless weekends were spent at ballparks, where he could be found cheering from the dugout, offering encouragement, or playing softball himself. He loved to joke about his own athletic abilities, often telling stories of his glory days that left everyone around him smiling.

In 2014, Russell returned to his hometown of Anadarko, where he spent the remainder of his life. He had an incredible ability to brighten a room with laughter, tell stories that people never forgot, and make ordinary moments memorable. He enjoyed watching Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives, attending Luke Combs concerts, playing golf, and spending time with the people who meant the most to him.

Known for his strong work ethic, Russell approached every job with integrity, determination, and pride. He believed in working hard, providing for his family, and helping others whenever he could. His commitment to provide for his family and supporting those he loved was evident in everything he did, leaving a lasting example of perseverance and responsibility.

Above all else, Russell's greatest love was his family. Whether as a father, grandpa, son, brother, companion, or friend, he gave his love generously and wholeheartedly. He will be remembered for his kind heart, infectious sense of humor, unwavering loyalty, and the countless memories he created with those he loved.

Russell is survived by his loving companion of 12 years, Caroline Pau-Kune; his sons, Justin Satoe, Jaren Satoe, Khy Satoe, and Jaycee Satoe; his stepsons, Kaleb Pau- Kune, Kody Pau-Kune and Jordan McCarthy; his stepdaughter, Shawna McCarthy; his mother, Wynette Satoe; his sister, Laurie Jean Satoe; his brother, Edwin Satoe; his

granddaughters, Dreya Satoe and Marayah Satoe; his grandson Khy Satoe Jr.; Three nephews; Wesley Satoe, Galen Satoe and Wallace Linn Wetselline.; A niece; Tavia Jean Wetselline. Numerous cousins, extended family members, and many dear friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, Theodore Satoe Jr.; his paternal grandparents, Theodore Satoe Sr. and Pauline P. Satoe; his maternal grandmother; Patsy Jean Presson; and many beloved family members who welcomed him into eternal rest.

Among the many legacies Russell carried was his proud family heritage as a descendant of Spotted Horse (Popetsaitke), a lineage he deeply valued.

Though his family grieves his passing, they find peace in the promise of eternal life through Jesus Christ. Russell's legacy of faith, laughter, hard work, love for his family, and unforgettable spirit will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
