Rosalie (Rose) Kaulaity LaFerr, a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and proud member of the Kiowa Tribe, was born on June 9, 1940, and entered eternal rest on July 26, 2025, at the age of 85, surrounded by her loving family.
On September 30, 1967, Rose married her best friend and lifelong companion, Don LaFerr, Sr., in Wichita Falls, Texas. Together, they built a life rooted in love, faith, and family. Their union blessed them with a large and loving family, which became Rose's greatest joy.
Rose lived a life of grace, strength, and unwavering devotion to those she loved. She never met a stranger and opened her home to many, making everyone feel welcome and loved. Her kindness and selflessness touched countless lives.
Education was one of Rose's passions. She earned her Bachelor's degree from the University of Science and Arts of Oklahoma in Chickasha and later obtained her Master's degree in Special Education from Southwestern Oklahoma State University in Weatherford. Her career reflected her heart for others-she devoted herself to helping and teaching those in need.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Don LaFerr, Sr.; her parents, Manfred and Margaret Blankenship Kaulaity; her children, Vanessa Weeks and Dusty LaFerr; her sisters, Verla, Marilyn, and Sunbeam; and her brothers, Robert Lewis, Gary, and Walter.

She is also survived by her special son, Juan Gallegos, siblings Ewan, Doris, MaryLee, Ouida Jean, Alexandria, Moses, Joshua, and Isaac, as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family who all held a special place in her heart.
Rose's life was a testament to love, resilience, and faith. She leaves behind a legacy that will live on through her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and all who were blessed to know her.
Prayer/Wake services will be held on Thursday, July 31, 2025, at 7:00 p.m. at Ware's Chapel (Hog Creek), Anadarko, Oklahoma. Funeral services will follow on Friday, August 1, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. at Bethel Baptist Church in Anadarko, Oklahoma, with interment immediately after at Memory Lane Cemetary.
Though our hearts are heavy, we rejoice in knowing Rose is reunited with her loved ones and rests in the eternal arms of the Creator. Her love and guidance will forever remain in the hearts of her family.
