Ronald Lynn Sloan

Ronald Lynn Sloan, 78, passed from this life on August 9, 2026. He was born on November 7, 1947, to Clyde C. "Jiggs" Sloan and Betty (Greenthaler) Sloan. He was baptized at an early age and was a lifelong member of the United Methodist Church.

Ronnie attended grade school at Sedan until the school closed. He then went to Mountain View, graduating in 1965. He was a member of the first four-year graduating class of 1970 at Cameron University. Ronnie served in the Oklahoma Army National Guard from 1970 to 1976. In 1979, he married the love of his life, Harriet, beginning a devoted life together.

Ronnie enjoyed the country life, especially hunting and fishing.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Mickie.

Survivors include his wife, Harriet, of the home; son, Wesley James Sloan of Lawton, OK; daughter, Rhonda Lynn Ozaydin and husband, Fatih, of Overland Park, KS; two granddaughters, Caitlyn Sloan Ozaydin of Overland Park, KS, and Megan Sloan of Lawton, OK; and two grandsons, Caden Sloan of Lawton, OK, and Ali Ozaydin of Overland Park, KS.
