Robert Eugene Williamson was born on November 7, 1943, in Lawton, OK to Emil (Pete) Williamson and Maida Lee Williamson. Robert passed from this life at his home on Monday, March 9, 2026. He is survived by his wife Toni Ann Williamson of the home and his sister Judy Nisbett of Lawton, OK. Robert and Toni were married on September 19, 1969, in Lawton, OK. They were blessed with four children, Kimberly Ann Douglas and husband Skip of Broken Arrow, Cynthia Ann Anderson of San Antonio, TX, Kristy Lynn Rednose of Lawton, OK and Bobby Williamson of Tulsa, OK. Grandchildren David Kropp, Stevie Schoeffler, Crystal Anderson, Chase Anderson, Brittainy Horn and husband Anthony, Tristan Williamson, Justin Rednose and a total of nine Great grandchildren. Robert was proceeded in death by grandson Robert Trey Williamson.
Robert was a devoted businessman, public servant, and proud member of the Anadarko, Oklahoma community whose life was defined by hard work, leadership, and service to others.
Robert graduated from Lawton High School in 1962, where he served as captain of the basketball team and led them to a State Championship. Following high school, he attended Cameron College where he played basketball before transferring to Southwestern University in Weatherford, Oklahoma. There he earned a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration and Psychology.
After completing college, Robert began his career as a warehouse sales manager for Oklahoma Drug Sales in Lawton, Oklahoma. He later joined his father in the family business at Lawton Transit Mix. During this time, Robert also purchased a Snappy Sack convenience store and started a baby shoe bronzing business in the back of the store, demonstrating his strong entrepreneurial spirit.
Just as his businesses were becoming established, Robert was drafted into the United States Army. He completed basic training at Fort Polk, Louisiana, where he was assigned to the receiving station that welcomed and processed new recruits. Shortly thereafter, he received orders to Germany where he served as an aide to a four-star General who was the commanding general for the European armies. After completing his military service, Robert returned home to Lawton, Oklahoma.
Robert eventually moved to Anadarko, Oklahoma - a place deeply connected to his family history where his parents first met and where his grandparents lived.
Robert and his wife Toni became well known for their dedication to business and community. Together they owned and operated many successful ventures including Pizza Villa, Toni's Italian Restaurant, Sunset Motel, Lil Taco, an ice cream store, Mac's Auto & Front-End Alignment, Anadarko Starter and Alternator, Century 21 Real Estate & Insurance, Property Development Company, W&W Roofing, rental homes, and Williamson Mini Storage. Through their Property Development Company, they also developed Williamson's Replat Western Addition. Robert and Toni also achieved the level of Emerald in the Amway business.
Robert's love for the Anadarko community led him to public service. He proudly served two terms as Mayor of the City of Anadarko. During his first term, he played a key role in bringing the community together to approve funding for a new hospital for the city. He later served two terms as City Manager, continuing his commitment to the growth and improvement of Anadarko.
In recognition of his leadership and dedication, Robert was honored as Chamber of Commerce Man of the Year in 2005.
Robert loved his community deeply and worked throughout his life to make it better. Through his leadership, entrepreneurship, and public service, he helped shape Anadarko and positively impact countless lives. His legacy will be remembered by all who knew him and by the community he worked so hard to serve.
