Richard Elix

Richard Dewayne Elix, 68, of Hobart, OK, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, August 19, 2023, in Oklahoma City, OK. Richard was born to Joe and Willie Stein Elix on JAnuary 21, 1955, in Hobart, OK. Richard grew up and attended school in Hobart, graduating in 1973. After graduation he spent several years at the Hobart Seed Company as a truck driver hauling grain. Richard married Sandra Mims and together had 4 beautiful children and raised them in Hobart. In the early 90's Richard transitioned to Oklahoma City and he married Tammy Laughlin and had 3 wonderful children together. Richard was one of the top managers in the Restaurant industry and later retired as a lead chef. Richard loved spending time with his grandchildren and family. He enjoyed shooting pool, playing dominoes, and have a great time laughing and dancing.

A host of nieces, nephew, other family, and friends.


Richard is preceded in death by his parents Joe & Willie Stein Elix, Sisters Joyce Sommers, and Cheryl Elix, Brothers Joe Elix, and William Rozell Elix.
