Raymond Tongkeamha

Raymond TongKeamha, 83, of Carnegie, Oklahoma, passed away peacefully on June 20, 2025, at the Carnegie Nursing Home in Carnegie, Oklahoma. He was born on June 15, 1942, to Weiser & Henrietta (Apayyat) TongKeahma in Lawton, Oklahoma. He was a direct descendant of Set'tainta White Bear. Raymond grew up and attended school in Carnegie, graduating from Carnegie High School in 1960. He was drafted by the St. Louis Cardinals right out of high school. Raymond enlisted in the United States Air Force and served honorably. He was a member of the Rainy Mountain Kiowa Indian Baptist Church. He was also a member of the Saddle Mountain Indian Baptist Church, serving as a Deacon and caretaker He was a proud member of the Kiowa Tribe and the Kiowa Gourd Clan. Raymond loved hunting, fishing, softball, and hand games. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
