Phyllis Garner, 87, went to be with her Lord and Savior on July 2, 2026. Phyllis was born in Foss, Oklahoma on March 2, 1939. Phyllis grew up in Gotebo, Oklahoma on the Garner Farm and graduated from Lake Valley High School. Phyllis attended and graduated from Southwestern Oklahoma State University with her Bachelors of Arts in Education. Phyllis married Don Blankenship, August 16, 1960 in Cordell Oklahoma. Phyllis was a lifelong educator who taught all grade levels in Oklahoma and Texas, including special needs students and English as a second language. Phyllis retired from Oklahoma and Texas after 38 years of teaching.
Phyllis was proceeded in death by parents Ryan and Margie Garner, sisters Donna Richey and Gloris Clark, brother Lane Garner.
Survivors include daughters, Tammy Blankenship, Shawn Mosley, and ShaLynna Blankenship. Grandchildren, Joshua Mosley, Toby Mosley, Bailee Jackson and great granddaughter Theia. Brother, Larry Garner, Sister, Mickey Tracey.
