Nona Marie (Ahhaitty) Kodaseet, 87, was lovingly greeted at Heaven's gates by her husband, Cleo Kodaseet, on November 1, 2025, in Carnegie, Oklahoma. She was born on November 21, 1937, in Carnegie, Oklahoma, to Harry Ahhaitty and Lula Lonebear.
On November 10, 1966, Nona married Cleo Kodaseet at the Little Red Church in Carnegie, Oklahoma. They shared 55 wonderful years of marriage before his passing on June 5, 2023. She was a proud member of the Kiowa Tribe, Nona lived a life rooted in faith, family, and community. She was an Original Zodletone singer, a member of the Kiowa Victory Club, and a devoted member of the Little Red Church. A 1957 graduate of Riverside Indian School, Nona dedicated her life to helping others, first as a nurse at the Carnegie Hospital, where she cared for countless patients with compassion and kindness, and later as a librarian at Carnegie Public Schools, where she encouraged students to learn and grow. A lifelong Carnegie Wildcat, she never missed an opportunity to cheer on her students and community at local games and events, always showing her pride and support.
Nona was the last surviving child of Harry Ahhaitty and Lula Lonebear, a legacy she carried with grace, love, and quiet strength. She will be remembered for her caring heart, steadfast faith, and dedication to her family, heritage, and the community she loved so dearly.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Harry Ahhaitty and Lula Lonebear; husband, Cleo Kodaseet; sisters, Eva Cozad, Carrie Stumblingbear, and Velma Cozad; brother, Harvey Ahhaitty; and great-grandson, Enoch Stumblingbear.

Special nieces, Karen Pewo, Anadarko, OK Kathy Pewenofkit, Anadarko, OK; Nephews: Lewis Cozad, Charles Cozad, Daniel Cozad, Andy Cozad, Vernon Cozad, Rusty Cozad, and Leonard Cozad, Jr.; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
