Mark Allan Franz

September 27, 1950 — August 2, 2026

Mark Allen Franz, passed away August 2, 2026, at 75. He was born on September 27, 1950, in Fresno, California, the second child because he was born before his brother, his twin, of five sons. His parents, Art and Leona, farmed raisins, and Mark grew up attending the Mennonite church on Sundays and enjoying classic childhood adventures like riding motorcycles and shooting guns. He went to Jackson Elementary and Sanger High School. And then on to Grace Bible College where he met his future wife Joy and back to Reedley college.

One summer, during his youth, he went to a Christian camp because he was so depressed. There, after a struggle, he received the Lord, and great joy flooded his soul. For the rest of his life, he pursued the Savior.

Mark was an entrepreneur, owned numerous businesses, and invented and manufactured new items for the swimming pool industry.

Mark is survived by his beloved wife of 54 years, Joy; his sons, Jacob (Joy) and Ben; and his treasured grandsons, Theo, William, and Finn. He is also survived by his twin brother, Phil (Ruth); his brother, Stan (Arlene); and many beloved nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Art and Leona, and his brothers Emerson and Conrad.
