Marcia Lee Davilla

Marcia Lee Ware Davilla, 91, of Hog Creek, Oklahoma passed away peacefully at home with family by her side on July 4, 2026. She was born on May 15, 1935, to Allen and Loretta (Geikaumah) Ware in Anadarko, Oklahoma. She was raised by Emma Ware & Henry Poyeti. Marcia grew up at Hog Creek and attended Saint Patrick's Catholic Mission then transferred to Riverside Indian School. Marcia met Johnny while she was attending school, there Johnny continued to sneak in and court Marica. During that time, she was involved in cheerleading and basketball and learned homemaking and her sewing skills. She was a lifetime member of Ware's Chapel United Methodist Church, located in Hog Creek, OK. She married Johnny on June 6, 1952, in Henrietta, Texas. Shortly after marriage they continued to live in Anadarko then moved to Lawton where Johnny was employed for 30 + years with the civil service. After his retirement in 1973 the family moved back to Anadarko where they opened Snoopy's Diner then Snoopy's Indian Store and operated it for 16 ½ years. Marcia participated in the 2004 Inaugural exhibition "Our People" held at the Smithsonian National Museum of the American Indian located in Washington, DC. There she researched and participated in cleaning artifacts and regalia of the Kiowa People. Marcia was a numerous Cancer Survivor. Kiowa Tradition Daughters: Loretta McCarthy, Anadarko, OK, Mildred Schuster and her husband Tom Anadarko, OK, Kathy Perosi & husband Raymond, Anadarko, OK, Vivian Ware Jr. & companion Gilbert Keahbone, Anadarko, OK, Deanna Stumblingbear-Leonard & husband Kurry OKC, OK. Sarah Silverhorn, Anadarko, OK, and Lyntha Klinekole, Anadarko, Ok. Kiowa son's: Richard Kelly, Shreveport, LA, and Glen Stumblingbear. Weatherford, OK. Grandchildren: Gary Davilla & wife LaShawn, OKC, OK, Angela Villalba & husband Antonio, Anadarko, Ok, Kateri Villalba, Anadarko, OK, Mary Ann Parker & husband Dallas, OKC, OK, Stacie Youngman & husband Keenan, Anadarko, OK, Whitnee Elizarraras, Anadarko, OK, Toby Redbird, Hodges, OK, and Tiana Redbird, Anadarko, OK. Great Grandchildren: Lily'Anna Marie Villalba, Gabriel John Olvera, Miley Lee'Ann Olvera, Jace Johnny Villalba, Brennalyn Olvera, Alaira Luisa Aragon Villalba, Kaia Youngman, Kobe Glen Youngman, Kasidee Elizarraras, Kameron Dewitt, Kimbree Dewitt, Xayah Flute, and Kyah Flute. Kiowa Tradition Brothers: Wendall Autaubo, Anadarko, OK, Cecil Autaubo, Lindsey, OK, and Edmond Ware Sr., Mt. Scott, Ok. Kiowa Tradition Sisters: Doreen Browning, Anadarko, OK, Thelma Bowman, Anadarko, OK, Gloria Holder, Lawton, Ok, Louella (Poe) Patterson, Carnegie, OK, Mary Dean Palmer, OKC, OK, Suanne Ware Diaz, Los Angeles, CA, Karen Thomas, Albuquerque, NM, and Romanita Ware, Apache, OK. Preceded in death by her Husband: Johnny Davilla, Parents: Allen & Loretta (Geikaumah) Ware, Parents in-law: John & Frances (Valdez) Davilla, Brother: Wesley Ware, Sister: Trina Stumblingbear, Brother in-law: Raymond & Shirley (Cramer) Davilla, Sister in-law: Geraldine (Davilla) & Jake Torralba. Pallbearers: Gabriel Olvera, Jace Villalba, Dallas Parker, Jeremy Hunter, Edmund Ware Jr., Kline Green, Benjamin Blackstar, and Dustin Davilla. Honorary Pallbearers: A.J. Davilla, Gary Davilla, Toby Redbird, Edmund Ware Sr., Ricardo Villalba, Richard Kelley, Glen Stumblingbear, Tom Schuster, Darrell Davilla, Raymond Davilla Jr., Danny Davilla, Chris White, and David Anderson.
