Lavinia Kay Edge Pau-Kune, 71, of Fort Cobb, Oklahoma, entered into eternal rest on July 17, 2026. She was born on December 8, 1954, in Lawton, Oklahoma, to Elvern (John) Edge Sr. and Mae Edith (Williams) Edge.

Lavinia was a lifelong resident of Fort Cobb and was deeply rooted in her family, faith, and culture. A proud member of the Caddo Nation, she faithtully carried on and shared her Caddo traditions throughout her life. She held the honor of serving as the Caddo Tribe Princess Director from 2017 to 2025, where she mentored and encouraged young women to embrace their culture and heritage.

For 48 years, Lavinia shared a beautiful marriage with the love of her life, Jerry Pau-Kune.

Together, they built a family that was the center of her world. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who treasured every moment spent with those she loved.

Lavinia had a spirited personality and was known for her loyalty and enthusiasm. She was an avid Oklahoma City Thunder, Oklahoma Sooners and Las Vegas Raiders fan and could often be found cheering on her favorite teams. In her younger years, she was an exceptional volleyball player whose competitive spirit remained with her throughout her life.

Lavinia also dedicated 14 years of service to the Anadarko Public Schools cafeteria, where she was known for her hard work, kindness, and the relationships she built with both students and staff. She took pride in serving her community and touched the lives of many during her years there.

To know Lavinia was to know "Grammy." She was Grammy not only to her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, but to everyone who knew and loved her. She welcomed others as her own, offering love, encouragement, laughter, and a warm heart to all. Whether you were family by blood, marriage, friendship, or simply crossed paths with her, chances are she claimed you as one of her own. Being Grammy was one of her greatest joys, and her nurturing spirit leaves an immeasurable void in the lives of so many.

More than anything, Lavinia loved her family. She found her greatest joy in watching her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren grow and succeed. Her love, wisdom, and unwavering support will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

She is survived by her beloved husband of 48 years, Jerry Pau-Kune of Fort Cobb, Oklahoma; daughters, Alena Polly of Edmond, Oklahoma, and Caroline Pau-Kune of Anadarko, Oklahoma; son, Charles Pau-Kune and wife, Keisha Pau-Kune, of Chickasha, Oklahoma; and daughter-in-law, Stefanie Edge of Gracemont, Oklahoma.

She is also survived by her grandchildren, Katelyn Polly and husband, Tom Behlen; Kayleigh Callahan and husband, Kylie Callahan; Karissa Edge; Maliyah Pau-Kune; Jorie Biggers; Kaleb Pau-Kune; Kody Pau-Kune; Xavier Pau-Kune; Devon Edge; and Jett Biggers; her great-grandchildren, Leighton Callahan and her special great-grandson, Braylon Callahan; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family members who loved her dearly.

Lavinia was preceded in death by her parents, Elvern (John) Edge Sr. and Mae Edith (Williams) Edge; her grandparents, Stanley Edge and Amy Johnson, and David Williams anc Caroline Shemayme; her brothers, Doyle Ray Edge and Elvern "Goop" Edge Jr.; her sister, Joycelyn "Joyce" Marie Edge; her beloved son, Kris Edge; and her son-in-law, Russell Satoe.

Though our hearts are heavy with her passing, we find comfort in knowing that she has been reunited with those who went before her. Her legacy of love, strength, service, and devotion to her family, community, and Caddo heritage will live on for generations to come.
