Larry Gene Griffith, 79, passed away peacefully on January 17, 2026, at the Veteran's Home in Lawton, Oklahoma. He was born on March 31, 1946, in Anadarko, Oklahoma, to Robert Griffith and Maxine Hyatt. Larry grew up and attended school in Anadarko, graduating from Anadarko High School in 1964. He attended Southwestern State University in Weatherford, Oklahoma, earning a Business Degree. Larry joined the minor league for the L.A. Dodgers. He was the pitcher, throwing the ball 110 miles per hour. Larry was headed to the major league when Vietnam took him from his Baseball Career. He was a medic in the U.S. Army. When he returned home, Larry worked with his father at the Wag-A-Bag Stores, and he also starting farming and welding. Larry met the love of his life Mary Eden, in 1989, they were united in marriage on July 1, 1995. He was sweet, kind and a loving husband. Larry lived the last 4 1/2 years in the Lawton VA Center. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

Preceded in death by his Parents: Robert Griffith and Maxine Hyatt, Stepfather: George Hyatt, Brother: Gary Griffith, Nieces: Kara Griffith, Kristin (Griffith) Durks & husband Bryan, In-Laws: Frances & Joe Birchfield, Sister-in-law & Brother-in-law: Terry & Wayne Plucker, and very special friends: Chestley Mooney, Olen Boyston, and Don LaFerr.
A private graveside will be at a later date.
