Kevin Wayne Bohay was born in Lawton, Oklahoma on March 8, 1978 to William Ray Bohay and Imogene Kaulaity Bohay. He attended North Rock Elementary school in Shawnee, Oklahoma, Capital Hill High and Crooked Oak Middle and High School. He passed away at home in Oklahoma City after a short illness. He was Sac and Fox and Kiowa. He was in the Sac and Fox Bear Clan.
Kevin showed his stubbornness at an early age. He didn't like his picture taken although mom was right there. At one and a half years old, he refused to wear diapers and had to wear his big brother undies until dad came home and took him to Walmart. His family all have a ton of "Kevin Stories" that have kept their spirits up.
Kevin was baptized at Moore First Indian Baptist after surrendering to our Almighty, Jesus Christ, as his savior. Being a self-taught student of history, he knew scripture and read the Bible front to back several times. He studied philosophy and religion. He had an unsurpassed love for music which included bands like Queensryche, Judas Priest, and Iron Maiden. He was a great chef and when he came home from work and mom was making supper, he would take over and finish the cooking. At an early age, he was taught to be a hard worker and learned that he had to graduate from school, and either go into the service or learn a useful trade-- no couch surfing would do. If he got laid off or something, his previous employer always called him back because Kevin worked so hard, others would quit because they couldn't do his job-- his answer was always "No way! You had your chance!" He eventually went to work for several years at ATC then his last job. He did not believe in quitting.
He was especially close to his great grandparents Steve and May Bohay, grandma Marjorie Wolf and Auntie Iris Bohay (Sas) whom he spent most of his time with. Now he is with the rest of his family in heaven until the rest of us will someday join him. He is so much loved and will be missed.
