Karen Lurlene Parton

Karen Lurlene Parton, beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away on August 19th, 2026 at the age of 61.

She was born on September 4th, 1964 in Lawton, Oklahoma to Rozella and Vernon Parton. Karen was a descendant of the Redbird and Whitefox family. Karen graduated from Carnegie High School in 1982. Throughout her life, she was known for her sense of humor, unwavering strength, and the witty banter she showed to everyone around her.

Above all else, Karen was most proud of her four greatest accomplishments, her children. Her love extended to her grandchildren.

Karen will be remembered for her sense of humor, cooking and love for music. Her presence brought laughter and sarcasm to those fortunate enough to know her.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory her children Kristen Harvey, Shannon Gonzalez, Stephen Gonzalez, 3 grandsons and 4 granddaughters, Tristan Gonzalez and Tyson Gonzalez Layla Gonzalez-Benitez, Arya Harvey, Kamal Harvey Jr., Septembur Dill, and Nova Gonzalez, as well as countless friends and loved ones whose lives were touched by hers.

She was preceded in death by her eldest son, David Gonzalez, mother Rozella Parton, father Vernon Parton, sister Verna Parton, brothers Rex Parton and Rankin Parton Sr.

Though our hearts are heavy with her passing, we find comfort in knowing that she is finally at peace and no longer hurting. Her lessons, her laughter, her stories, and the memories she created will continue to live on through her family and all those who truly loved her.

A mother's love never truly leaves us. It becomes part of who we are, carried in our hearts and passed from one generation to the next.
