Judy Gail Martin

February 10, 1941 — May 4, 2026

Judy Gail Martin, was born to Joffrey and Irene Henson Fullingim on February 10, 1941 in Ada, OK. She finished her race on May 4, 2026 and is safe in the arms of Jesus at the age of 85 in Anadarko, OK, surrounded by family and friends. Every single child, grandchild, and great-grandchild spent time last week just being with her. She attended and graduated from Horace Mann Schools in Ada, OK.

Judy's love story with her husband, Jerry-affectionately known as "Red"-was one for the books. In a charming and creative twist of fate, she would "just happen" to be outside shaking rugs whenever Jerry would drive by on his laundry delivery route. That playful persistence paid off, and she soon captured his heart. The two were married on April 7, 1961, at the Boswell Chapel on the ECU campus in Ada, Oklahoma, beginning a lifelong partnership filled with love, laughter, and devotion that lasted 65 years until her passing.

Together, they raised three very loved redheads -Rhonda, Melissa, and Pepper. Judy cherished her role as a mother and was grateful for the years she spent at home nurturing and raising her kids. Once they reached school age, she continued her passion for caring for children by working with Head Start, where she later served as an educational director, shaping young lives with the same love and dedication she gave her own family.

But perhaps Judy's most treasured role was the one she never quite planned-being "Meme." Though she had hoped to be called "Grammy," her oldest granddaughter, Whitney, lovingly gave her the name "Meme," a title that quickly became known as "the world's greatest Meme."

Judy and Jerry, "Meme and Papa," poured their hearts and souls into their eight grandchildren. Some of their most cherished memories were made at "Meme & Papa Camp" in Fort Cobb, spending time in the Red River NM cabin and all the holidays. She truly made everything magical. Those moments created deep, lasting bonds and a legacy of love that will carry on for generations.

A devoted Christian, Judy loved Jesus first and foremost, and she lived her life in a way that reflected her faith daily. Her walk with Christ began at a young age, influenced deeply by a Sunday school teacher, Mrs. Green, who faithfully shared Jesus with her. That early impact shaped Judy's heart for a lifetime. As a young girl, she would gather her siblings and cousins and take them to church, eager to share the same love she had been shown. Later in life, she became a dedicated Sunday school teacher herself, always serving with a joyful spirit and creating a warm, welcoming classroom where every child felt seen, loved, and accepted.

Some people's lives are measured in years, but Meme's life was measured by her faith in Jesus and the way she lived her faith daily. She carried herself with grace, kindness, and intention-always striving to be a true lady. Known for her poise and posture, she would often laugh about how she practiced walking while balancing an encyclopedia on her head, a small detail that perfectly captured her determination and spirit. She was the heart of her family-a loving wife, devoted mother, proud Meme, cherished sister and friend. Her life was a beautiful reflection of faith, family, and joy. She will be deeply missed but forever remembered in the lives she touched and the love she gave so freely.

Left to cherish her memory are her husband Jerry; children Rhonda & Lynn Bellamy, Melissa & David Slezickey, Pepper & Kellie Martin; grandchildren ;Whitney & Jordan Troxell, Tiffany & Trevor Harmon , Jacob Bellamy & Kelsey, Callie & Grant Hawkins, Joshua Martin, Cash Slezickey, Hope Martin & Mattie Slezickey.
