Joyce Ann (Van Dyke) Turney was born to George William VanDyke,Sr. and Roberta Alliene VanDyke on June 8, 1944, in Ithaca, New York. She passed away on September 24, 2025, in Corn, Oklahoma. Joyce grew up in New York, later moving to Oklahoma, living in Thomas, Carnegie, and Pawnee, where she worked as an LPN.
Joyce married Clarence Leon Turney, Sr. on March 17, 1984 in Alfalfa, Oklahoma.
Joyce is survived by two sons, Christopher Pace and family of Arlington, Texas and Clarence Leon Turney, Jr. and family of Mountain View, Oklahoma. Her brothers, Alberta VanDyke, wife Linda and family of Kentucky and George VanDyke, Jr., wife Debbie and family of New York. Sister, Caroline Burnor and family of Missouri; nieces, Susan Pierce and family of Glencoe, Oklahoma and March Sharp, and husband Matt of Perkins, Oklahoma. Mother-in-law, Faye Turney of Carnegie, Oklahoma; brother-in-law, Donnie Turney and wife, Patricia and family of Carnegie, Oklahoma, and Jesse Turney and wife, Lori and family of Carnegie, Oklahoma. Along with a host of other family members and friends.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Clarence Turney; parents, George and Roberta VanDyke; sisters, Martha Jones, Alice Park, Rose Fowble, and Virginia Wigfield; and brother, Wilmont (Bill) Parker.
Joyce will always be remembered for her passion to help others and her deep love for her family and friends.
A memorial service for Joyce will be held at a later date.
