Jimmy Bertrum Brooks

Jimmy Bertrum Brooks was born August 4, 1953, to the late Venton Weems Brooks and Florence Mae Brooks in Hobart, Oklahoma. He grew up and attended school in Hobart, graduating from Hobart High School in 1972. After High School he worked various occupations: Clinton Veterans Center, Altus A.F.B Commissary (meat cutter), the United States Army, and in the Law Enforcement Industry. He attended the Church of Christ. Jimmy met Carla Beavers and moved to Oklahoma City in 1984. He married Carla on February 11, 1988, to this union were born three sons: Terrance, Tyrel and Tyree. Jimmy loved working and was known for his jokes to everyone he met. Family vacation while traveling North, South, East, and West. Jimmy had a special bond with his oldest son, they had their ups and downs, but the relationship was solid, with a Sr. and Jr. bond, "Army Strong." He lived his best life, he fought the good fight of faith enduring illness until the very end. Jimmy gained his wings and joined the Heavenly choir with his father, mother, sister, and son. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
