Jessinda Lynn King York, 69, passed away peacefully on June 30, 2026, at Capitol Hill Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
Born on March 22, 1957, in Lawton, Oklahoma, Jessinda was the beloved daughter of Jessie Lee King and Myrtle Mae Two-hatchet King. She was a proud member of the Kiowa Tribe and lived her life with deep faith in God, a gentle spirit, and a heart full of love for her family and everyone she met.
The greatest love of Jessinda's life was her husband,
Jadie Edward York Sr. They were married on June 30, 1973, and together built a life centered on love, faith, and family.
Even after Jadie's passing on February 15, 2021, Jessinda never stopped loving or missing him.
On June 30, 2026-exactly 53 years after their wedding day- the Lord called Jessinda home. The same date that marked the beginnings of their marriage became the day their family believes they were joyfully reunited in the presence of God.
Jessinda was a devoted wife, loving mother, cherished grandmother and great-grandmother, sister, aunt, cousin, and friend. She believed life's greatest blessings were found in faith, family, and loving one another well. Her quiet strength, kindness, and faithful prayers touched the lives of all who knew her.
After Jessinda's passing, her daughter Regina lovingly sorted through her belongings and discovered journals and handwritten letters the family had never seen before. Those pages became one of Jessinda's final gifts to the people she loved-filled with prayers, encouragement, wisdom, and reminders to trust God, never give up, and always cherish family.
