Janetta was born on August 22, 1941, to Hiram and Helen Sharp in Hugo, Oklahoma. From the very beginning, she was a very special person. She had beautiful ocean blue eyes that could calm a storm and a lovely happy laugh that we will never forget. She was, in every way, sparkly-not just in how she looked or smiled, but in the way she lit up a room by just being in it. She could make an ordinary moment feel like something worth remembering.
Janetta lived a full life. She was married a couple of times. First time to Clifford Moser and later to Elvin York, both of whom have passed on. They were good Christian men whom she loved.
Janetta genuinely loved and cared for her family, neighbors, friends, co-workers and even strangers.
Her family (her greatest joy) includes:
Roy Moser and his wife Julie. Roy's children Micheal, Bobby, Thomas and Cody. Great Grandchildren Brinley, Harper, Kaylee, Blake, and Luke
Don Moser and his wife Amanda, grandchildren Mellsia Yockey, Toby Moser and Joshau Firth and great grandchildren Lion Yockey, Macey Moser, Abby Moser, Ruby Moser, Gus Moser, Rose Firth.
Susan York and her daughter Kylie McCorkle.
DeDee Bruce grandson Boggy Bruce, great grandchildren Bentlie Bruce,Brodie Bruce
Melissa Weiss and her husband Paul Weiss.
Pedy York and his wife Susian, and their children Megan McAlister, Autumn York, great grandchildren Wynter 'BrendaLyn' Tyler, Wrocklyn Marcia Marie Tyler
Adam Dwayne York and his wife Cara Lynn York, and their children Avry Lee, Adrian Ray, and Adam Dwayne York II.
Anesha and her children Isabelle, Braeleigh Ann, and Layton.
Jennifer York.
And Darren Draye York.
Janetta is also lovingly remembered by her sister Annette Nix, her nieces Jennifer and Vivian, and all who are part of her extended circle of love.
Janetta was a daughter, a sister, a wife, a mother, a grandmother, a great grandmother, a friend... and to me, she was simply my mama. She was one of the greatest blessings of my life.
