Gregory Dee Colvin of Clinton, Oklahoma passed away at Clinton Regional Hospital on June 5,2025 at the age of 49. He was born on May 6,1976 to Ronald and Patricia Colvin in Clinton, Oklahoma. Greg attended Clinton public schools and graduated in 1994 from Clinton High School. He attended the University of Oklahoma for several years and finished his Bachelor of Science - Criminal Justice in 1999 from Southwestern Oklahoma State University. He spent time as a reading tutor for Western Oklahoma Literacy Coalition and was awarded the State Volunteer Tutor Award in 2000. Greg spent time working as a Virtual Assistant for Soldier Xpress, and later for Apex USA. He earned a Master's degree in Psychology from the University of Phoenix in 2009. Greg was working towards a Master's of Community Counseling at SWOSU until recently. He had currently been recording audio books for the visually impaired program. At an early age, Greg learned to paint using a brush in his mouth, and took art lessons and participated at the art festivals. He enjoyed video games and cheering on the Red Tornadoes. Later in life, he enjoyed listening to music, audio books, trying new restaurants and new foods with family and friends, and being an avid OKC Thunder fan. Greg was saved and loved the Lord and spent time reading his Bible. His favorite verse was - John 14:6 Jesus answered, "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me."
Greg is preceded in death by paternal grandparents, Otto and Effie Colvin, maternal grandparents, O.C. Dorrell and Chloe Dorrell, uncle, Bobby Dorrell, uncle and aunt, Joe and Leta Tate, and his father, Ronald Colvin.
Greg is survived by his mother Patricia Colvin of Clinton, Oklahoma, sister and brother-in-law, Kevin and Stacy Clothier of Altus, Oklahoma, nephew, Luke Clothier of Edmond, Oklahoma, and nieces, Savannah and Lily Clothier of Altus, Oklahoma, and numerous cousins.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, June 14, 2025 from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. (come and go) 22367 East 1070 RD, Clinton, Oklahoma.
Greg was always concerned about those who didn't have enough, especially children whether it be food, clothing or school supplies.
