Glenda Denise Perry McClanahan 54, of Lawton, OK was granted her angel wings on Tuesday, July 1, 2025 at Comanche Hospital in Lawton, Oklahoma. She was born November 5, 1970 in Clinton, OK to Bobby Lavel and Joanne (Haywood) Perry.
Glenda graduated from Anadarko High School in 1989. She worked as a night hotel auditor. She was known for always helping others.
She accepted Christ at an early age and was a member of Greater First Baptist Church.
She and Terrance McClanahan were married November 16, 2015 in Colorado Springs, CO.
Glenda loved and appreciated her family and would make a point to tell them she loved them as often as possible. Her departure comes as a great shock and a deep wound, and it is gravely felt by her entire family and countless others who loved her deeply. Her gentle smile brought so much joy to her family and friends. She loved going to the casino and playing games with her grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Glenda was preceded in death by her parents; maternal grandparents, George Cardell and Etta V. (Shelton) Haywood; paternal grandparents, Richard Perry and Opal Lee.
Glenda leaves to cherish her memory, her husband, Terence of Bismarck, ND ; three children, Jessica (Karl) Schmidt of Splendora, Texas; Jaylon (Renee) Perry of Boise, Idaho; Joneisha (Zionah) Welch of Oklahoma City, OK; one sister Renae Perry of Lawton, OK; six grandchildren, Amaya, ZayVion, Eliana, Lavel, Talia and Nevaeh; one niece, Charnelle ; two nephews, Bobby (Jessica) and Malcolm; great nephews Devin, Amare, Omar, Julian, Carter, O'Dell (whom she called her broke best friend); one great niece, O'Nika, Athena; aunts Twila King, Priscilla Haywood, Ruthie Wilkinson (Henry), Sandra Johnson (Burnett), Shirley (Robert) McDaniels, Joann Slade, Katherine Post and Opal Post; uncle, Clifton (Kathy) Perry, a host of cousins other relatives and friends.
