Geraldine "Jeri" Juliana Severns

March 4, 1949 — May 16, 2022

Geraldine Juliana "Jeri" Gomez Severns, 73, of Anadarko was called home by the Lord on Monday, May 16, 2022, at The Physicians' Hospital in Anadarko. Jeri was born March 4, 1949 to G.C. and Famie (Vasquez) Gomez in Anadarko.

She attended Anadarko schools all of her life, and was a member of the Class of 1967.
She spent over two decades as an LPN, attaining her license at the Caddo Kiowa Technology Center in Fort Cobb. She worked as a cashier at Walmart for over 10 years.
Jeri married Charles "Chuck" Severns Jr. in June of 2007, spending almost 10 wonderful years until his passing in 2017.

Jeri was a very special and loving woman, wife, mother, aunt, sister and friend. She enjoyed listening to music of all genres, but especially loved the golden oldies of the sixties. She also loved spending time square dancing as a member of the Swinging Chicks out of Chickasha.
Jeri's biggest joy though, was spending time with her family and friends. She was lovingly known as Memaw to her grandchildren, who all held a special place in her heart.
She touched many lives throughout her life and will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Preceding her in death was her husband, Charles "Chuck" Severns; her parents, G.C. and Famie Gomez; two sons, Teddy Wishon Jr. and Sean Wishon; a daughter, Tina Wishon; three brothers, Kirby Gomez, Tom Gomez and Rick Gomez, and three sisters, Caroline "Bebo" Riley, Cecelia "Cissi" Reagan and Amelia Gomez.

She is survived by her son, Travis Wishon of Anadarko; one brother, Phillip Gomez (Lisa) of Anadarko; two sisters, Teresa Stephenson of Anadarko and JoAnn Ontiveros of Oklahoma City; four grandchildren, Kyanna Wishon of Purcell, and Mikey Anderson, Kiera Wishon and Troy Wishon, all of Anadarko; two special cousins, Thomas "Jr." and Lila Brookshire of Anadarko; her Godchild, Candice Mullins of Lawton; special friends, Lennis Miller and Debbie Dyer, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
