Gerald Lee Cozad, 91, passed away on August 11, 2025, in Chickasha, Oklahoma. He was born June 9, 1934, in Carnegie, Oklahoma, to Ray Cozad and Carrie Ahhaitty Stumblingbear. Gerald grew up in Carnegie, and never forgot where he came from. He was a graduate of Riverside Indian School in Anadarko, later joining the United States Army. He was a proud member of the Kiowa Tribe and a descendant of Red Tipi. Gerald was also a member of the Native American Church Kiowa Chapter. Over the years, Gerald worked in carpentry, farm labor, and just about anything that needed to be done. He was the kind of man who could fix, build, or lend a hand, and he always did it without fuss. He will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.
