Eddie Eugene Isbell

September 5, 1949 — April 23, 2026

Eddie Eugene Isbell of Cordell, Oklahoma, was born September 5, 1949, to George and Barbara Isbell in Stillwater, Oklahoma. He launched off to his heavenly home from his much-loved barn on April 23, 2026, surrounded by those he loved. As the son of a Methodist preacher, he moved often across the state of Oklahoma. When asked how he handled moving so often he said, "Mom and Dad always talked it up as an adventure". In 1968, Eddie graduated from Enid High School where he met the love of his life Peggy Leggett. After graduation he moved to Oklahoma City and enrolled in OSU Technical Institute where he earned an Associate's degree in Architectural Drafting and Design while working as a draftsman for RGDC Civil Engineers in Oklahoma City graduating in 1972. In 1970, after convincing Peggy that "two can eat as cheap as one", they were married in Enid and began their life together. They welcomed their eldest daughter Rebecca Lynn in 1973 and a son Adam Kyle in 1976. In 1976 the family moved to Cordell, Oklahoma to go to work for their brother-in-law Larry Henderson building new homes. Eddie and Peggy welcomed a new daughter Angel Baby-Anna Beth in 1984. In 1987, Eddie began working for Joe D. Hall General Contractor retiring in 2016.
