Dovie Pauline Blanton Ringo was born October 11, 1922 in an hut south of Tucumcari, New Mexico to Jeff and Zeland Blanton. With her family they came to Oklahoma in 1925 in a covered wagon and settled at a farm 3 miles west of Dill City. Dovie attended and graduated high school in 1940 in Dill City.
Dovie married the love of her life of 55 years, Rex Ringo on August 3, 1940 in Dill. To this union 4 sons were born, Glen Wayne, Jackie Lynn, Tony Max and Jeffrey Thomas Ringo.
Dovie was a member of the Plains Avenue Church of Christ in Dill City since 1940, the joys of her life were family, nursing, singing at the church, gardening, living at the Baptist Village in Cordell and meeting new friends and being able to attend church as long as she could
Dovie was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Rex and three sons, Glen, Jack and Tony Max, daughter in law, Iva Ringo, brother, H. G. Blanton, Jr., sister, Virginia Nelson, brother, Jimmy Blanton, sister in law, Doris Blanton Evetts.
Survivors include, son, Jeff and his wife Darla of Cordell, Ok, daughter in law Susan Ringo of Sherman, Texas, grandson, Scott Ringo and wife, Kim of Mustang, Oklahoma and grandson, Max Ringo and wife, McKenzie, of Haslet, Texas, great-grandsons, Tye, Dason and Jacob Ringo of Mustang, Oklahoma and great-grandaughter, Kennedy Ringo of Haslet, Texas and great-great grandson, Tyson Ringo of Mustang, Oklahoma, sister, Emma Seaman and husband David of Arizona and many nieces and nephews.
