Donna Williams passed away peacefully on May 21, 2026, at the age of 87. Born on June 21, 1938, Donna was a creative spirit. She saw beauty in the world around her and would capture it through her artworks. An accomplished painter, Donna would enter her paintings and painted china in various competitions and was a frequent winner of many blue ribbons. Each year would see her crafting a new series of paintings which she would photograph and then have made into calendars to distribute to her friends and family. We fondly remember how thrilled she would be when one of her collectors would purchase her paintings.
Donna was also musically talented, playing the clarinet during her school days and performing as drum major of her school band. She attended Oklahoma State University and played in their marching band. In later years she would play both the piano and the organ at worship services at her church. She had a bachelors degree in business education from OSU, and a masters degree from the University of North Texas.
Donna was preceded in death by her husband Dennis Williams. She is survived by her son Nolan Clay (Diane) daughter Susan Brown (Mark), and her brother Dale Miller (Kim). Donna was a proud grandmother to Hannah Stalewski (Andrew), Luke Clay, Kalyn McMahon (Sean), and Taylor Brown. She was a great-grandmother to Lincoln McMahon.
She could be unintentionally funny, which delighted her children and grandchildren with her "GMa Donna-isms". One of her recent musings was that she was hoping to meet Geronimo in heaven. (She had painted a series of native American portraits including Geronimo). We love you GMa Donna, and hope you are hanging out with Geronimo!
