Debra (Debbie) Kaye Clinton, 65, of Carnegie, Oklahoma passed from this life on August 18, 2024, in Carnegie, Oklahoma. She was born on June 11, 1959, to Eldon and Harlene (Jones) Holman, in Carnegie, Oklahoma.
Debbie graduated from Carnegie High School in 1977. On June 10, 1977, Debbie married the love of her life, Johnny Clinton. They made their home and raised two children, Joni and Johnny Lee in Carnegie. Debbie worked as the Town Clerk for the town of Carnegie for over 20 years. She had a passion for making the cemetery a better and prettier place for everyone to visit their loved ones, even coming up with the idea that no grave goes undecorated. She was an excellent bowler and became a member of a bowling league for many years. She also enjoyed looking into her family's genealogy, even tracing one branch of her family back to Adam and Eve. She loved crafts, and had a passion for projects. Her and Joni shared a craft business together, enjoyed doing craft shows together, and had their crafts at multiple locations. But her favorite thing to do was spend time with her kids and grandkids. Once Johnny Lee was diagnosed with stage 4 kidney cancer in January of this year, she made it her mission to spend all the extra time with him she could and not miss a single appointment. She did just that, She will be greatly missed by all who loved her.
