David Christopher Gonzalez

January 24, 1983 — May 3, 2026

On Monday, January 24th, 1983 at 2:30 PM, David Christopher Gonzalez was born to Luis Gonzalez and Karen Parton in Lawton, Oklahoma. During the early stages of his life, he was raised by his dad, and late grandparents. He began his wrestling career at the age of 3 thanks to false documents provided by his late uncle, Steve Gonzalez. He wrestled for a total of 19 years, collegiate, freestyle and Greco. David was a 4 time All-American in Greco style wrestling while at MacArthur High School. He went on the wrestle some in college but felt he had a duty to serve his country. In 2005, he enlisted in the Navy to protect his loved ones and country. In 2009, he was discharged and moved back to Lawton to be with his immediate family. He then followed in his father's footsteps to work as a roughneck in the oilfield. In the same year, he met the love of his life, Jamie Sheeran. In 2012, they welcomed their first born son, Tristan Gonzalez. Two years later in 2014, they brought their youngest son, Tyson Gonzalez, into the world. Once David became a father, he was completely and utterly devoted to the family he created. After many hardships, Jamie and David separated. He then focused on supporting his siblings, Stephen, Kristen, Shannon and half-sister Gabrielle Gonzalez, and parents, Luis Gonzalez and Karen Parton. After Kristen and Stephen moved away, David decided it was best for Shannon to stay in Lawton and check on their dad while David moved to Carnegie to take care of their mom in 2025 where he lived the last 15 months. We will always remember him for his motivation, determination, sense of humor, and charming persuasion. At the young age of 43, he has stepped away to protect his loved ones from above. He left this world with a big and broken heart on May 3rd, 2026.

Preceded in death by his grandparents, Trinidad and Frank Gonzalez, uncles Lupe, Andrew, Steve, Davis, and Frank Jr. Gonzalez, and aunt Barbara Thomley.

Survived by his sons, Tristan and Tyson Gonzalez, father, Luis Gonzalez, mother, Karen Parton, sisters, Kristen and Shannon Gonzalez, half-sister, Gabrielle Gonzalez, his sidekick brother, Beowulf/ Stephen Gonzalez and many beloved nieces and one nephew.
