Charles Wayne Hendricks of Binger, OK was born on September 1, 1946 to Joe and Eva Hendricks in Springcreek, OK. He passed from this life at the age of 79 on August 22, 2026 in Anadarko, OK.
Wayne attended school in Gracemont and married Verlinda Bilyeu in 1966. They made their home in Anadarko and raised three children, Mike, Marty and Stacy.
Wayne was a hard working man with talents in many trades. He worked as a heavy equipment operator at Dolese. He helped build many government watershed ponds. He was a welder for Haynes Trailers in Chickasha. He worked in the oilfield for several years.
He loved construction and spent many years as a roofer. He loved drawing up plans on projects and seeing them through to completion. He worked for the City of Anadarko from 1984 to 1993. He wore many hats; sanitation supervisor, water & sewer supervisor, special maintenance supervisor and building inspector. He planned and constructed the Anadarko Fire Station #2, Animal Shelter, and the remodel of the Police Station.
He instilled hard work ethics to his children and was very proud of his kids and grandkids. He commonly stated "If I haven't done anything else, I helped raise amazing kids." He had many friends and loved the "coffee shops". He would sit for hours and talk with anyone.
He was preceded in death by his parents, 5 brothers Don, Jim, Boyd, Bebop, Calvin and four sisters Jolene, Jean, Sue and Laquetta.
He is survived by his children: Mike Hendricks and wife Darla; Marty Hendricks and wife DeeDee; Stacy Brower and husband Clint.
Grandchildren: Brandon McCracken and wife Kyli, Kenzie Hendricks, Taylor Hendricks and wife Cassi; Jacob Stinson, Jacie Stinson, Jillian Biddy and husband Jake; Traelyn Hendricks and wife Alyssa, Braxtyn Hendricks; Shelby Britain and husband Chance, Riley Brower, Chase Brower and wife Mackenzie, Baylee Brower.
Great grandchildren: Brody, Jase, Blake, Jack, Henry, Carter, Presley, Conner, Credence, Bonnie, Levi, Aurora, Alx
One sister: Mary Doughty and husband Justin
