Cecelia Mae Berry

Cecelia Mae Berry passed away on September 23, 2026, in Corn, Oklahoma. She was born on May 11, 1944, in Carnegie, Oklahoma, to Wilford (Bill) and Sally (Lucille) Combest.

Cecelia grew up in Carnegie, where she also attended school. On October 18, 1963, she married the love of her life, James Wenlin Berry, at the Nazarene Church in Carnegie. Together, building a life with their foundation firmly planted in the strength of their Christian Faith, sprouted a family taught to pray, work hard, and above all to love God, creating many wonderful memories that will live for an eternity.

Cherished by many, knew her as Cece, Celia Mae, and Sissy Mae, in life as a personal professional care giver. She was proud to be a dedicated and long-standing member of the Women's Mistletoe Club who deeply enjoyed baking, cooking, crafting, and always entered the baking competitions at the Mountain View and Carnegie Fairs each year. Her family knew there was always something good to eat when Cecelia was in the kitchen, and she taught her children well. Out of all the things she made over the years, her Grandkids will especially remember that no one could make ramen noodles quite like she could.

She also loved listening to music and singing along whenever she had the chance. Some of her favorite times were spent playing games with her family, even when she suspected they might be cheating a little. More than anything, Cecelia loved her family, especially her grandchildren. She treasured the time she spent with them and the memories they made together. Her love, laughter, cooking, and the special little things that made her Cecelia will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

Children: Jamie Baker and husband Mike of Cyril, OK., Trina Britton and husband George of Lawton, OK., Tim Berry and wife Erin of Mountain View, OK., and James (Matthew) Berry of Lawton, OK.

Grandchildren: Rayna Berry - Lawton, OK., Zoey Berry and fiancé Leon - Lawton, Ok., Dominique Mitchell - Yukon, OK., Caitlyn Mitchell - Lawton, OK., Waylon Mitchell - Lawton, OK., Bryanna Poolaw and husband Dakota - Chickasha, OK., Noah Berry - Lawton, OK., and Madison Berry - Lawton, OK.

A host of other family & friends

Preceded in death by her husband: James Wenlin Berry, Parents: Wilford (Bill) & Sally (Lucille) Combest, and Sister: Alice Marie Medrano.

A celebration of life service will be held at a later date.
