Catherine "Katt" Joyce Walker was born to Geneva and Bennie Walker in Silver Spring, Maryland on July 9, 1970. She passed away on December 20, 2025 at Billings Clinic Hospital in Billings Montana at the age of 55.
Catherine was raisied in Carnegie Oklahoma where she attended Carnegie Elementary School. For high school she attended Riverside Indian School from 1986 - 1988, thereafter she furthered her education at SIPI.
She was an enrolled member of the Sac & Fox Tribe and was also affiliated with the Eagle Clan, Kiowa Tribe and Kickapoo Tribe. Her father gave her the name "Pakenokwa" meaning "When an eagle comes in for a landing" She was also a devoted member of Cedar Creek United Methodist Church in Carnegie, Oklahoma.
Catherine spent most of her life in Wyoming where she lovingly raised her 5 daughters and many grandchildren, who she cherished time with.
Surviors include her daughters: Wekota Washakie-O'Neal & husband Timothy O'Neal, Haily Washakie, Jacqueline Washakie, Yvonne "Bonz" Washakie, and Mia Joe Washakie.
Grandchildren: Tierney, Teegan, Theodore, and Traeton O'Neal. Easton Walker-Washakie, Apollo Herrera, Dawson Washakie, Salem Spoonhunter, Rheo Spoonhunter.
Numerous cousins, family and friends.
Preceded in Death by parents, Bennie and Geneva Walker, sister Leslie Tsonetokoy, brother Dewey Walker, grandparents Fred & Grace Tsonetokoy, and Willard Sr & Henryetta (Bently) Walker.
