Billie Ronald Glidewell

Billie Ronald Glidewell, 84, of Hobart, Oklahoma, passed away peacefully on October 1, 2024, at the Clinton VA Center in Clinton, Oklahoma. He was born on May 28, 1940, to Bill and Hazel (Taylor) Glidewell in Hobart, Oklahoma. Ron grew up and attended school in Hobart, graduating from Hobart High School in 1958. He attended Southwestern Oklahoma State University and received an Associates Degree. Ron married the love of his life Jean Brown on November 18, 1961, in Hobart at the First Presbyterian Church, to this union were born one son, Ronald. She preceded him in death on July 29, 2012. Ron was a member of the First Presbyterian Church and served as an Elder. He also served in the United States Army from 1963-1964, and in the Army National Guard as Staff Sergeant from 1962-1968 in the 45th Thunderbirds Division. Ron was a member of the Masonic Lodge for 4o plus years and a lifetime member of the Am Vets. He worked with Tink Morgan for 20 years as a Mechanic, Ron also owned and operated Glidewell's Package Store for 15 years. In his spare time he enjoyed fast cars, classic cars, playing golf and riding motorcycles. Ron enjoyed knowing Bill W. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

Preceded in death by Parents: Bill & Hazel Glidewell, Wife: Jean Glidewell, Brothers-in-law: Dick Brown and Johnny Branam.
