Barbara Ann Hancock

Barbara Anne Hancock passed away February 23, 2015, after a lengthy, failed recovery from surgery. Born on October 29, 1936, in Jacksonville, Texas, Barbara was the daughter of Lloyd and Elsie Holsapple. She attended schools in Kilgore, Texas; Fort Worth, Texas; Washington, D.C.; Tulsa, OK; and college at Oklahoma A&M. She married Pat Hancock in 1957 and taught school in Wichita, Kansas, and Mountain View, Oklahoma. Barbara was a 1st Grade Teacher for 20 years, and she loved, educated, and positively influenced every one of her students.


Barbara is survived by her husband, Pat Hancock; their children, Patricia Anne, Don Brian, and Paula Suzanne; their children's spouses; and 8 grandchildren.

A come and go Memorial fellowship gathering, will be held Sunday from 3-4p.m., at the First United Methodist Church, Mountain View, OK.
