Allen James Wedel was born on December 31, 1956 to Arthur and Jessie (Cormack) Wedel in Clinton, Oklahoma. He passed away in his home on October 24, 2025. Allen lived northeast of Cordell all his life. While in school, Allen wrestled and was active in FFA. He graduated from Cordell High in 1975. Allen was a trusted employee for Javorsky Welding for many years and more recently worked for Putman Auction Company. He was a lifelong farmer and raised cattle, but his greatest accomplishment in life was his daughter Sarah Jane Nicole.
Allen loved all things John Deere and collected toy tractors for many years. He enjoyed telling stories and spending time at the coffee shop, the co-op, and Putman's barn. Allen enjoyed cooking for various events like the Bessie Pancake Supper, Mr. Hull burgers at the elementary, and the FFA Labor Auction. Allen loved driving the combine for his nephew, Jared this past summer and talked about it often.
Allen is preceded in death by his parents Arthur and Jessie. He is survived by daughter Sarah and boyfriend Dillon, grandson Remington, and siblings Randy and wife Mary, Gary and girlfriend Brittny, Sheryl, Debbie, Tim and wife Kathy, nieces and nephews and a host of family and friends.
