Peggy Loraine Thompson Benton, 64, formerly of Taylorsville Kentucky, passed away September 14, 2022, at the Carnegie Nursing Home in Carnegie, Oklahoma. Born in Spencer County, Kentucky, March 9, 1958, to the late Charlie Thomas and Elsie Mae Lewis Thompson.
Peggy married the love of her life December 25, 2003. They shared eighteen wonderful years together. She had many hobbies, including crocheting, cooking, making crafts, and spending time with her family and her grandchildren.
Peggy had a kind heart and was always willing to help others. She will be dearly missed by all those that knew her.
Peggy was preceded in death by her parents, brothers, Edgar Ray, Harold, Walter, and Virgil, sister, Janie Bell, and one step-grandson, Ronnie, Jr.
She is survived by her husband Edward Benton, Mountain View, Oklahoma.
Son: Rodney McGaughey and wife, Amanda, Bowling Green, Kentucky
Stepchildren: Denise, Melissa, and Kenny Jr.
Brothers: Charles Owen "Cot," Jerry, Gene, and Howard
Sisters: Ann, Linda, Donna, and Rita
Grandchildren: Evelyn, Jacob, and Gabriel
Step-grandchildren: Elizabeth, Randall, Tommy, Ashley, and Alex.
