    Leota Beth Brown

    June 30, 1937 - September 9, 2021

    Leota Beth Brown, 84 of Waycross, GA passed peacefully into the arms of Jesus while at home with family by her side under Satilla Hospice Care, Thursday, September 9, 2021. She was born June 30, 1937 in Anadarko, OK, to Leona (Waller) and Leon Pattie. Later adopted by her stepfather Harry V. Stocking. She lived most of her life in Caddo county. During her school years in Carnegie, OK, she was active in basketball, twirling, band, and pep club cheerleading and loved being a member of the Wildcat Class of 1956. Most of her adult life was in Anadarko, OK where she held various secretarial positions before becoming a social worker for DHS, she retired after 30 years of service to others. Leota was married to Clifford Dale Brown, and they enjoyed many years of activities and travel with JC Jaynes and Lions club. She was a member of the Cosmetology association, graduating in 1959, she enjoyed being a beautician for many years. She dearly loved her children and their friends, and her door was always open. 'Momma Brown' as many have called her over the years, and was always thrilled to have her children's friends visit her, when they were in town even after grown up. . After 60 years, Leota reconnected with her high school love, Jerry Cook of Clinton, OK. She was thankful for the time they enjoyed together. She enjoyed sewing, crocheting and crafting especially with her grandchildren and great grandchildren, giving service and care to others. She is preceded in death by her: Husband, Dale, the love of her life; Mother, Leona (Waller); Father, Leon Pattie; Stepfather, Harry V. Stocking; Grandmother Eula Waller; Sister, Janice (Stocking) Clift; Grandparents, W.E. and Amonette Pattie; beloved daughter-in-law, Sandie Brown She is survived by her: Daughter: Roberta and husband, Mike Henderson, GA Son: Jimmie Brown and wife, Tammy, OK Granddaughters: Audrey Deloach, GA; Rebecca and husband, Kirby Ensser, VA; Melody Henderson, TX; Destiny Brown, OK 10 great Grandchildren: Tyler Williams, GA; Baily Williams, GA; Ella Deloach, GA; Kale Ensser, NE; Riley Ensser, OK; Gabriella Brown, OK; Krash Brown, OK; Lonnie Brown, OK; Killian Brown, OK and Gunner Brown, OK Very special beloved friends: Greg and Katie Delaney. Graveside Celebration of her Life: 2:00 pm, Thursday, Sept. 16, 2021 Memory Lane Cemetery, Anadarko, OK Visitation: 9:00 am - 8:00 pm, Wednesday, Sept. 15, 2021 9:00 am - 12:00 pm, Thursday, Sept. 16, 2021 Under the direction of Ray and Martha's Funeral Home, Anadarko, OK
