LoLeta King of Carnegie, OK passed away on January 24, 2018. She was born in Tipton, OK to Clifford and Pearl Pickrell Jones. After graduating from Alfalfa High School, she married Carrol “Toby” King on June 10, 1945 and they were married for 71 years. LoLeta lived most of her adult life in Carnegie, OK and her career achievements included co-owner/operator of King’s Texaco, King’s Car Wash and King’s Quick Stop; and she was employed as a cook at the Carnegie Senior Nutrition Center for 5 ½ years.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Carrol “Toby” King and Sister Karen Monroe.
LoLeta is survived by her two sons Donald King, Granite, OK; Kyle King and wife Debby, Dallas, TX; daughter Carleta Davis and husband Kynn, Buckeye, AZ; daughter Tanya Tappehorn, Bartlesville, OK; and daughter, Luanne and Kenneth Gonzalez, Carnegie, OK. Grandchildren Cloresa King, Duane King, David King, Alicha King, Rodger King, William Davis, Kimberly Bryan, Misty Davis, Caitlyn Meserve, Jennifer Daniels, Jordan Greer, Andrew Gonzalez, Anthony Gonzalez and many great grandchildren. She is also survived by her brother Donald Jones, Bedford, TX; sister Treva Baker, Benson, AZ; and sister Gayle Harris, Colony, OK.
LoLeta enjoyed writing, sewing, baking desserts, working crossword puzzles, watching sports, following golfer Rickie Fowler. playing dominoes and spending time with her family. She was a member of Alfalfa Methodist Church.
