Obituary

Benny Ray Carter 81 of Anadarko, Oklahoma went to his Heavenly home on Saturday, January 6th, 2018 at his home.
Benny was born on December 25th, 1936 to Ernest Delbert and Eva Elizabeth (Grimes) Carter in Anadarko, Oklahoma. He attended Anadarko public Schools and graduated in 1955. Benny spent the majority of his life in Anadarko, but he also spent a lot of time in Portales, New Mexico where his grand parents owned the Log Motel and Grocery. Benny married Dora Mason on May 29, 1958 in Anadarko, Oklahoma they were happily married for 52 years before her passing. He was in the Army and was honorably discharged in 1965. Benny worked as a Post Man for the USPS for 18 and a half years when he finally retired in 1978. After his retirement, Benny loved spending his free time hunting fishing and spending time with his family. When his granddaughter was old enough he loved teaching her how to hunt and fish and spending time with her. Up until the last few years Benny was a fixture at the Thursday sale downtown.

Benny is survived by one daughter: Myrna Mayall and husband Donnie of Anadarko, Oklahoma
one granddaughter: Katryna Ahshapanek and husband Daniel of Norman, Oklahoma.
And a special friend Odessa Anthony of Anadarko, Oklahoma

He is proceeded in death by: his parents and wife
