Obituary

James Harold Duke passed away on Sunday, September 23, 2018 at the Carnegie Tri County Municipal Hospital in Carnegie, Oklahoma. "Harold" was born October 27, 1933 in Snyder, Oklahoma to Virgil & Alice Carrol Duke.

Harold attended school in Gotebo, Oklahoma. Harold was drafted into the Army in 1954 and served until 1956. Most of his time was spent in Germany. Harold was trained as a cook for the Army in Switzerland. Harold was a member of the Nazarene Church and a lifetime member of the DAV (Disabled Veterans) Harold worked for Paul Summers Propane in Carnegie, Oklahoma. Harold married Aletha Troub on February 23, 1964 in Carnegie, Oklahoma. Harold & Aletha were camping hosts at several Oklahoma lakes. Harold loved fishing and he also enjoyed playing dominoes. He was a Champion Domino player in the Carnegie World Championship Tournament.

Survivors: Wife, Aletha Duke of the home in Carnegie, Oklahoma.
Two Daughters: Vikki Duke of Arizona
Gala Duke of Duncan, Oklahoma
Two Grandsons: Corey Duke of Alabama
Cody Duke of Ft. Gibson, Oklahoma

Many relatives and friends.

Preceded in death: parents, daughter, Toni Duke and sister, Gay Byford.

Oh the memories of all the years growing up around you. How we went fishing at several of the campsites that the two of you were at. Oh that nasty stink bait , I can still smell it. lol Oh how you would tease me and my sister Sheri.
