Esther Jean Toppah
September 23, 1946 - February 4, 2018
ObituaryEsther Jean Toppah was born to Ruth Toppah and Bill Daukei and made her shining appearance to the world on the 23rd of September in 1946. Esther Jean, lovingly referred to as “ET”, spent her final moments surrounded by many loved ones, passing peacefully Sunday February 4, 2018.
She graduated from Carnegie High School May 21, 1967 and then traveled to San Jose to attend school for business and cosmetology.
When Esther returned to Oklahoma, she made Anadarko her home. There she spent several years working at the Washita Valley Head Start as a teacher’s aide. Later as her children grew and moved to the Tulsa area, ET followed to be closer to them and her grandchildren. There she worked in manufacturing and eventually returned to child care, where she later retired.
Esther’s world revolved around her babies, grandbabies, and great-grandbabies. She always had an open door and everyone was welcomed into her home. She has helped to raise many nieces, nephews, and grandchildren, as well as many other young souls who needed a loving home. She spent her free time attending as many pow wows as she could make and she loved the casino.
She is survived by her best friend of many years, Caroline Wooster of Anadarko; her children LaCretia Toppah and Russell Toppah of Tulsa, OK; Carmen Toppah Brown of Chickasha, OK; Damon Toppah of Tulsa, OK; and Leah Toppah Park of Moore, OK. Her sisters Ernie Kay Moore Bass of Anadarko, OK; Frances LaDonne of Virginia Beach, VA; Cheryl McDaniels of Shawnee, OK and her brothers Creighton Moore of Wichita, KS; Wayne Moore of Okmulgee, OK, and Alvin Moore. She has 15 grandchildren and 6 great-grand babies.
She is proceeded in death by her grandparents, the late Cheevers and Esther (Lonewolf) Toppah, her mother Ruth Toppah Moore, her sisters Elizabeth Couklin and Renora Moore; 2 nephews Eli James Moore and Michael Ray Moore.

Esther Jean, my sister, will be greatly missed by many especially her children and grandchildren. She was a good person with a pretty smile for everyone. We were always happy to see each other and laughed and talked about old times and whatever. She left us a lot of good memories. My thoughts and prayers go out to her children and grandchildren and to the rest of the family.
