Linda Marie Nix, 71, of Carnegie, Oklahoma passed away on September 1, 2017. She was born on October 10th, 1945 to William and Melda (Boydstun) Bryant in Carnegie, Oklahoma. Linda grew up and attended school in Carnegie, graduating in 1963. Later in life, she attended some night classes at Southwestern Oklahoma State University in Weatherford, Oklahoma. Linda was a member of The First Baptist Church in Carnegie, Oklahoma.

Linda worked for the Carnegie Public Schools for many years. At the time of her death, she was employed part-time by The Bank of Hydro in Eakly, Oklahoma.

Linda loved to read. She enjoyed cooking for her grandchildren and working in her yard. She also enjoyed being at home with her dogs, Sophie and Sulley.

She is survived by one daughter, Amy Montgomery of Carnegie, Oklahoma
Three grandchildren: Jada Montgomery of Carnegie, Oklahoma, Cameron Nix of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, and Morgandee Nix of Weatherford, Oklahoma.
One brother, Alan Bryant and wife Deeann of Carnegie, Oklahoma
One sister, Debbie Kuykendall of Newcastle, Oklahoma.
Numerous other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents and one son, Lyle Nix, of Carnegie
